I was at Southcenter Mall not too long ago and stumbled across this so-called promotion. The reality is that this was once the location of Zoopa Express — a salad, soup, and pasta restaurant. I have to give credit to the mall management for their craftiness to hide the negativeness; from my observations, about half of the Southcenter food court restaurants don’t last one year before closing or sold.
Overall, these promoted restaurants are heavily Americanized representations of the various ethnic cuisines they’re supposed to represent (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc).
