A few of my friends recently have been enlightening me about maximizing reward points on Perk which is supposed to be the #1 mobile rewards program. Apparently you can earn multiple reward points by installing the Perk mobile app on multiple mobile devices — limited 5 per household. According to my friends, you can earn up to $250 of passive income per month by using Perk through claiming points and redeeming them through gift cards.
The easiest way to earn points on Perk is to continuous stream movie previews on mobile devices while setting the volume to mute. One of my friends has gone to the extreme to save money on electricity by charging his smartphones at his workplace since streaming videos does consume quite a bit of battery power on mobile devices.
Technically the amount of passive income you could earn in a year through Perk can exceed the $600 cap on other income before you have pay taxes and file on a 1099 form. However, Perk hasn’t sent any of my friends 1099 forms, so none of them have paid taxes for their Perk passive income.
